1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or using the services of Sree Kumaran Travels, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sree Kumaran Travels.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not book or use our services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

2. Services Provided

Round-Trip Car Rental with Professional Driver

We provide vehicles with experienced, professional drivers for your entire journey.

Chennai-Based Operations

All our services originate from Chennai and serve destinations across India.

NO One-Way Trips

We do NOT provide one-way drop services. All bookings are for round trips only.

Driver Charges Included

All bookings include professional driver charges - no additional driver fees.

⚠️ Important: Vehicle models and years may vary based on availability. We ensure you receive a similar or better vehicle than quoted for your journey.

3. Service Area

  • Base Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
  • Service Coverage: Round-trip services to all major cities and destinations across India
  • Popular Routes: Chennai ↔ Bangalore, Pondicherry, Tirupati, Coimbatore, Madurai, Ooty, Kodaikanal, Kerala, and more
  • Custom Itineraries: Available on request for multi-city tours and special routes

Bookings accepted via phone or WhatsApp only. We do NOT have online booking system currently.

Advance Notice

Minimum 24-48 hours advance booking recommended for best availability.

Quote & Confirmation

We provide a customized quote. For Chennai local city rides, advance payment is not mandatory and confirmation is provided via written/verbal approval. For outstation and long-distance trips, advance payment is required for confirmation.

Last-Minute Bookings

Subject to vehicle availability. Additional charges may apply.

5. Pricing & Payment

Customized Pricing

All prices are quoted based on:

  • Destination and route distance
  • Trip duration (number of days)
  • Vehicle type and category selected
  • Season and demand
  • Special requirements (if any)

Note: Prices quoted are valid for 24 hours only. After that, rates may change based on availability and demand.

8. Advance Payment

  • Chennai Local City Rides: Advance payment is not mandatory. Payment can be settled as mutually agreed.
  • Outstation / Long-Distance Trips: Advance payment is required to confirm booking.
  • Amount (when applicable): Typically 20-30% of total trip cost (exact amount discussed during booking)
  • Balance Payment: Before trip start OR after trip completion (as mutually agreed)
  • Cancellation Impact: Advance forfeiture/refund rules apply only when an advance payment has been collected.

9. Cancellation Policy

Note: The advance refund/forfeiture rules below apply only to bookings where advance payment was collected (typically outstation/long-distance trips).

FREE Cancellation

48+ hours before trip: Full refund of advance payment

Partial Refund

24-48 hours before trip: 50% advance forfeited, 50% refunded

No Refund

Less than 24 hours before trip: 100% advance forfeited

No-show (customer doesn't turn up): 100% advance forfeited + balance amount also payable

📞 Important: Cancellations must be communicated via phone call or WhatsApp message. SMS or email alone are NOT sufficient for cancellation.

10. Rescheduling Policy

  • 48+ hours before trip: FREE rescheduling (subject to vehicle availability on new dates)
  • 24-48 hours before trip: May incur 10-20% rescheduling fee
  • Less than 24 hours: Treated as cancellation (see cancellation policy above)
  • Maximum Reschedules: 2 reschedules allowed per booking
  • Availability: Rescheduling is subject to vehicle availability on requested new dates

11. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

Provide accurate pickup/drop locations and timings

Be ready at agreed pickup time (driver waits max 15 minutes)

Treat driver and vehicle with respect and courtesy

NO smoking inside the vehicle

NO alcohol consumption that causes disturbance

NO illegal activities or prohibited items in vehicle

Do not exceed vehicle seating capacity

Report any issues immediately during trip

Pay toll and parking charges promptly during journey

Keep valuables secure (we are not liable for loss)

12. Our Responsibilities

We commit to providing:

On-Time Service: Vehicle and driver at pickup location on time

Professional Driver: Courteous, experienced, and licensed

Clean Vehicle: Well-maintained and hygienic

Valid Documents: Driver license, permits, insurance

Prompt Support: Address issues during trip immediately

Safe Journey: Follow all traffic rules and safety measures

13. Driver Conduct

Our drivers are professionals employed or contracted by Sree Kumaran Travels. They are trained to provide excellent service.

✓ Our Drivers WILL:

  • Arrive on time at pickup location
  • Follow agreed route and schedule
  • Drive safely and follow all traffic rules
  • Be courteous and professional with passengers
  • Take necessary rest breaks during long journeys
  • Assist with loading/unloading luggage

✗ Our Drivers will NOT:

  • Demand extra money from customers
  • Deviate from route without customer approval and our permission
  • Drive rashly or under influence of alcohol/drugs
  • Misbehave or use inappropriate language with customers
  • Use mobile phone while driving

14. Vehicle & Route Changes

  • Mid-Trip Route Changes: Require our approval. Contact us before making significant route changes.
  • Extended Trips: If you wish to extend your trip, inform us immediately. Additional charges will be calculated at agreed per-km or per-day rate.
  • Additional Charges: Any extra charges will be communicated to you before proceeding with changes.
  • Major Itinerary Changes: Significant changes to planned itinerary may require new quotation and agreement.

15. Liability & Disclaimers

We are NOT liable for:

  • Delays due to traffic jams, weather conditions, road closures, or natural disasters
  • Loss, damage, or theft of passenger belongings (please keep valuables secure)
  • Third-party accidents beyond our reasonable control
  • Government restrictions, checkposts, border delays, or route closures
  • Personal injuries due to passenger negligence or non-compliance with safety instructions
  • Missed flights, trains, or appointments due to unforeseen circumstances

⚠️ Maximum Liability:

Our liability is limited to the total booking amount paid by you. We strongly recommend purchasing separate travel insurance for comprehensive coverage.

Customer Liability:

  • Vehicle Damage: Full repair cost if damage caused by customer misuse, negligence, or misconduct
  • Interior Damage: Cleaning charges for smoking stains, spills, or other interior damage
  • Fines & Penalties: Actual fine amount + processing fee if fine is due to customer conduct

16. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of our services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, cyclones, landslides)
  • Government orders, lockdowns, curfews, or travel restrictions
  • Strikes, bandhs, protests, or civil unrest
  • Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies
  • War, terrorism, riots, or similar events
  • Acts of God or other unforeseeable circumstances

In Force Majeure Situations: Full refund or rescheduling will be offered at our discretion. If trip has already started when force majeure occurs, a prorated refund may be provided based on services utilized.

17. Round-Trip Only Policy

IMPORTANT: Round Trips Only

  • We provide ONLY round-trip services from Chennai and back to Chennai
  • One-way drops are NOT available under any circumstances
  • All quotes and bookings are exclusively for round trips
  • If you require one-way service, we cannot accommodate your request

18. Vehicle Availability Clause

  • Specific vehicle models and years are subject to availability at the time of your trip
  • We reserve the right to provide a similar or better vehicle in the same category if the initially quoted vehicle is unavailable
  • If booked vehicle is unavailable, we will:
    • Offer a similar or better alternative vehicle
    • OR provide a full refund if you decline the alternative
  • We will inform you of any vehicle change as soon as possible before the trip

19. Disputes & Resolution

We are committed to resolving any disputes amicably and professionally:

Immediate Communication

Contact us immediately if any issue arises during your trip. Most issues can be resolved on the spot.

2.

Written Complaints

Formal complaints must be submitted within 7 days of trip completion via email or WhatsApp.

3.

Amicable Discussion

We will attempt to resolve all disputes through friendly discussion and mutual agreement.

4.

Mediation

If direct resolution fails, mediation is preferred before pursuing legal action.

5.

Legal Jurisdiction

All legal disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu only.

20. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to terminate our service immediately if:

  • Customer violates any of these Terms and Conditions
  • Customer endangers the safety of driver or vehicle
  • Illegal activities are suspected or confirmed
  • Customer behaves abusively, threateningly, or inappropriately with driver or our staff
  • Customer is intoxicated to the point of being a safety risk
  • Vehicle is being used for purposes other than agreed upon

⚠️ Important: If service is terminated due to customer violation, NO refund will be provided. Balance payment (if any) remains due and payable.

21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India
  • All disputes arising from these terms or our services are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu
  • English version of these terms shall prevail in case of any translation disputes

22. Amendments to Terms

We may update, modify, or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will be:

  • Effective immediately upon posting on our website
  • Indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document
  • Communicated via email or WhatsApp to active customers for major changes

Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

23. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with your specific booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sree Kumaran Travels regarding the use of our services. This agreement supersedes all prior verbal or written agreements, understandings, or representations.

If there is any conflict between these general terms and your specific booking confirmation, the booking confirmation shall prevail for that particular booking.
